These Terms of Service govern your use of Symkura, operated by MakeByte (Germany). By using Symkura you agree to these terms.
1. The Service
Symkura is a symptom documentation tool designed to help people with chronic conditions track pain, mood, sleep, medications, and other health indicators. It is a documentation tool, not a medical device, and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
2. No Medical Advice
Symkura does not replace professional medical advice. On-device insights (correlations, patterns) are statistical observations, not diagnoses. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for medical decisions.
3. Your Data
All health data is stored locally on your device. We have no access to your entries, photos, or health records. You are responsible for backing up your data. If you uninstall the app, all local data is permanently deleted.
4. Free & Pro Plans
Symkura offers a free tier and a Pro subscription. Pro features are available via in-app purchase through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective policies.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the service, attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, or use Symkura in any way that violates applicable law.
6. Intellectual Property
Symkura and its content are owned by MakeByte. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the app without written permission.
7. Disclaimers
Symkura is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, MakeByte is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
8. Termination
You may stop using Symkura at any time by uninstalling the app. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Symkura after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify you of material changes via the app.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Germany. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Germany.
