Symkura ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
1. Core Principle
Symkura is designed with a privacy-first approach. All health data (symptom entries, pain scores, mood, sleep, photos, medications) is stored exclusively on your device using local storage. We do not operate servers that receive, store, or process your health data.
2. Data We Collect
Health data: all symptom entries, body map selections, mood ratings, sleep data, medication logs, photos, and notes are stored locally on your device only. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it (e.g. PDF export for your doctor).
Weather data: if you configure a city in settings, we query the Open-Meteo API (open-meteo.com) to fetch current temperature, humidity, and barometric pressure. Only the city coordinates are sent. No personal identifiers are transmitted.
Purchase data: if you subscribe to Symkura Pro, your purchase is processed by Apple or Google through RevenueCat (revenuecat.com). We receive a pseudonymous user ID and entitlement status. We do not receive your payment details.
3. Data We Do Not Collect
We do not collect analytics, usage events, device identifiers, IP addresses, or any form of tracking data. There are no third-party analytics SDKs in Symkura.
4. Data Storage
All data is stored in AsyncStorage on your device. If you uninstall the app, all data is permanently deleted. We recommend using the PDF export feature to save important records before uninstalling.
5. Data Sharing
We do not share, sell, or transfer your data to any third party. The only data that leaves your device is the weather city query to Open-Meteo and purchase verification through RevenueCat.
6. Your Rights
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control. You can view, export, or delete your data at any time through the app settings. No request to us is necessary.

7. Children's Privacy
Symkura is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
